With the release of their new CD titled "TO THE WALL", Idle Rains continues to do
what they do best; write, record and make great music!

Their musical talents and experience are front and center on this their
second CD, a follow-up to 1996's
"Wasted Nights". Tommy John Ehman and
David Evans have been making music together for over 13 years in various
forms in nightclubs and caberets across Western Canada.Their music has been compared
to top artists like Blue Rodeo, Steve Earle and Bruce Springsteen; comparisons that
are not taken lightly by this dynamic duo. "
Song writing is my passion" says Tommy John,
"
I carry it with me wherever I go". From Prince George, British Columbia to Brandon, Manitoba and all points in between,  Idle Rains has taken their music "To The People".

Tommy John Ehman has been writing songs since the age of 16 and joined his
first band in his hometown of
Craik, Saskatchewan. After entering talent contests that gave him the opportunity to sing at the Big Valley Jamboree in Craven, SK, a chance to fill in with a top "road" band named High Horse was the difference between two different roads. Music
became an obsession, one that has only intensified with time and miles.

David Evans grew up in a mining town in Nova Scotia and at an early age moved to Windsor, Ontario. Music was always in his blood. Learning to play
guitar and reading music came naturally to the aspiring musician. Through
various jobs that included teaching music, his true calling to be in
"the band" was never far from his heart. "
The music is always just there, in my head and
in my heart. I hear it and I feel it" (David Evans)

Tommy John Ehman and David Evans met in the fall of 1988 and have never looked back. They formed "Midnight Highway", a successful 4 piece band that
played endlessly on the night club circuit until burnout forced a break in 1992.
After brief stints with other projects the two musicians found themselves
back together in a new group called
"Idle Rains". A recording project was
already underway that became
"Wasted Nights". The band went back on the road for 3 more years to promote the CD and their single "I'm After You" which received airplay across western Canada. During that time Tommy John continued to do what he does, write new songs preparing for the next CD!
"TO THE WALL" was born at Audio Art Studio in Saskatoon,SK in late 2001 and released in early 2002. Tommy John Ehman and David Evans continue to promote their music the best way they know how, by taking it "To The People".
